Helpless Animal Rescue Team, of IL or H.A.R.T. was founded in 2007 by Jill Kerzisnik. Through much hard work and devotion, she has successfully placed over 200 dogs into loving homes. This process began in a normal home in a rural town in IL, 45 minutes from Chicago. H.A.R.T. is currently in the pursuing for Non-Profit Organization Status - 501(c)(3)- With this acheivment in reach, we can hopefully obtain grant funding aiding us to help fuel this outreach!
The future of H.A.R.T. is only just in the making to develop a dog sanctuary, park, boarding, daycare, grooming, as well as service dog training. These high aspirations can and will be achieved with Any assistance from you. We hope to continue to find, and eliminate dog overpopulation, and cruelty by being advocates, while networking together with animal rescues across the country.
Why do we do it? To save animals in high kill shelters in Southern states that would not have a chance if it wasn't for out of state rescues, such as myself.
